Social Relations at Home and at School: An Analysis of the Correspondence Principle.

Tests for a correlation between socio-economic background, intra-family authority relationships, and authority relationships between students and teachers. Questionnaire data collected from 2,000 tenth grade students showed a minimal linkage between social background and family relations. Stronger correlations were found to exist between family authority patterns and student-teacher relations. (Author/AM)
