Are Structural Features of Word Meaning Reflected in Judgments of Semantic Similarity and Difference?
Blaubergs, Maija S.
Language Sciences, v2 n1 p1-31 Mar 1980

Results of traditional linguistic experiments testing the hypothesis show that meaning content is a more salient basis for judgments of similarity and difference than is meaning structure. (PMJ)
