The ratings of classroom teachers of behaviors which are more prevalent in boys than in girls were compared with regard to their relative effect on teachers' attitudes. The behaviors more prevalent in boys were rated as significantly more disturbing to teachers. The findings are discussed with regard to their implications within an ecological frame of reference.
