Construct Interpretations of Three Self-Concept Inventories

Three self-report self concept tests were administered to intermediate grade children. The subscales were clustered into three facets representing physical, social, and academic self concept. Some degree of construct validity was established, but discriminant validity was not. There was little evidence for the existence of separate facets of self concept. (Author/GDC)
