In this study of moral action, Kohlberg's theory of formal moral judgment is contrasted with an interpersonal formulation of moral decision making. Subjects were 56 lower and middle socioeconomic status adolescents divided into six sexually heterogeneous but all black and all white friendship groups to play moral games. (Author/JMB)
