Boredome as an Antagonist of Creativity
Schubert, Daniel S. P.
Journal of Creative Behavior, 11, 4 4th Q, 233-40, 77
A review of research on the relationship between boredom and creativity led to findings such as the following: boredom often indicates a low level of creativity and a low level of awareness; people who seek physical thrills are frequently bored without stimulation, but do tend to show creativity; and boredom may lead to increased creativity in situations which require people to give serial responses.
