How to Kill a Good School System
Rosser, Donald
NJEA Review, 51, 6, 12-6, Feb 78
When results were compiled on New Jersey's statewide test of basic skills last year, only 31.25 percent of the 10th graders in Paterson surpassed the State-set minimum score in reading and only 34.2 percent in math. No school district had a lower percentage in reading, and only two had lower percentages in math. Discusses how the school district got that way, its major problems, and what is being done to correct them. (Author/RK)
