Models of Ethnic Education. The Case of Jewish Education in Great Britain
Chazan, B.
British Journal of Educational Studies, 26, 1, 54-72, Feb 78
Examines the predominant forms of ethnic education provided by Jewish ethnic education in Great Britain and two specific dimensions of this system: the self-definition of the Jewish group which it presents to the young, and the patterns of group adjustment to the larger society which it suggests. Also proposes some guidelines for the analysis of ethnic education as a resource for the understanding of broader issues of ethnic groups and ethnicity. (Author/RK)
