Higher education is experiencing many changes and Cooperative Education programs should reflect and be involved in the new innovations that have invaded education. To gain some understanding of education and how Cooperative Education can contribute to it, various educational philosophies must be examined. These philosophies may be grouped under five basic categories--intellectual education, subject matter education, functional education, humanistic education and systems education. (Author/RK)
