Comparison of the Clinical Utility of the MMPI Basic Scales and Specific MMPI State--Trait Scales: A Test of Dahlstrom's Hypothesis
Klingler, Daniel E.; And Others
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 45, 6, 1086-91, Dec 77
This study was undertaken to test Dahlstrom's hypothesis that the clinical utility of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory (MMPI) could be improved through the use of dimensionally pure personality trait and psychopathological state scales to supplant the present dimensionally complex clinical and validity scales. Results failed to confirm Dahlstrom's hypothesis. (Author)
