This research attempts to determine the usefulness of assessing academic achievement motivation, biographical information, and parental perceptions in the prediction of academic achievement and reading efficiency. The Iowa Test of Basic Skills (ITBS) and the Lorge-Thorndike IQ test provided data for criterion measures of educational achievement and reading efficiency. (Editor/RK)
