The Effects of Videotape Self-Image Confrontation on Helping Perceptions

Results of a study with 54 undergraduate social work students indicate that a self-image confrontation produced signficant amounts of perceptual change, but the effects decrease over time. Effective use requires periodic and varied self-encounters throughout professional education. (Author/LBH)
