Participation and Feelings of Political Efficacy: An Examination of the Transference Model
Takei, Yoshimitsu; Kleiman, Michael
Comparative Education Review, 20, 3, 381-99, Oct 76
Tests the adequacy of the transference model in explaining variations in feelings of political efficacy by analyzing data collected from a sample of Chinese secondary school students in West Malaysia. According to this model, feelings that the young develop toward authority figures, for instance in the family or school, are likely to be transferred to the larger political sphere. (Author/RK)
