How Working Mothers Manage: Socioeconomic Differences in Work, Child Care and Household Tasks
Angrist, Shirley S.; And Others
Social Science Quarterly, 56, 4, 631-637, Mar 76
The authors investigate how working mothers manage children and domestic responsibility. Comparing 64 women in professional jobs with 46 women in clerical jobs, they found that the great majority of both sets of women were satisfied with their childcare arrangements and performed most of the domestic tasks with no help.
