First stages in a longitudinal study evaluating the behavioral science curriculum at New York Medical College revealed (1) no relationship between the number of behavioral science courses taken in college and performance in medical school behavioral science courses, and (2) better class performance when material on disordered behavior was presented earlier in the year than when presented later.
