In order to identify the actual staffing situation in community college libraries, a questionnaire was sent to a random sample of full-time librarians in 508 accredited community colleges. The 324 (76 percent) usable returns are reviewed here, revealing demographic, professional, and attitudinal information about the "typical" community college librarian. (NHM)
