Women's Sex-Role Attitudes: A Historical Perspective
Rose, Clare
New Directions for Higher Education, n11 p1-31 Aut 1975
Historical, sociological, and psychological factors have influenced women's self-concepts, and their sex-role attitudes, in turn, have influenced their productivity. An empirical study of 8,000 college women supports these contentions. Colleges and universities must create an atmosphere of sexual equality that makes constituents conscious of discriminatory sexual stereotypes and societal influences. (JT)
