Challenges to Health Professions Education and Strategies for Moving Forward
Ford, Channing R.; Moseley, Lindsey
New Directions for Teaching and Learning, n162 p199-207 Sum 2020
As the final chapter of this special issue, we recognize there are multiple challenges to working in the health professions that impact health professions educators' abilities to teach and support learners. We provide a broad overview of the next generation of learners, in addition to exploring teaching and learning approaches for this population. Strategies include emerging best practices, learner expectations regarding technology, and mechanisms for supporting faculty as they transition to teaching Generation Z students.
