Sex-Role Attitudes and the Career Choices of Male and Female Graduate Students
Valentine, Debbie; And Others
Vocational Guidance Quarterly, 24, 1, 48-53, Sep 75
This study tests two hypotheses: (1) women choosing traditionally feminine occupations are more conservative concerning feminine role than are women selecting traditionally masculine occupations; and (2) men entering traditionally masculine occupations are more conservative in sex-role attitudes than are men entering traditionally feminine occupations. Some support was found for each hypothesis. (SJL)
