In this article, we invite readers to participate in an examination of American Association for Teaching and Curriculum's (AATC) inception and growth. We consider experiential stories of the organization, as told by individual members, in relation to organization stories. We explore intersections of community, interaction, mentorship, and the growth of a professional society focused on curriculum and teaching. We hope this work will encourage conversation about the role of AATC as a professional organization and the contribution of individual organization members.
