Audio Feedback on Student Writing: Could Voice Recording Foster the Tenets of Care Theory?
Chalfin, Gregory
Curriculum and Teaching Dialogue, v20 n1-2 p61-71 2018
Audio commentary on student writing has yet to become a mainstream method of grading practices. However, in considering the impact of voice recording in fostering the tenets of Nel Noddings' care theory, the author finds great potential for the practice to realize Noddings' tenets of developing a practice of care: modeling, dialogue, practice, and confirmation. The development of this method could have significant implications for caring educational practice.
