How to Identify Diploma Mills and Axact Websites, and Tools for Your Protection
Ezell, Allen
College and University, v95 n1 p47-56 Feb 2020
This is the final in a series of three articles about academic fraud. The first, "Diploma Mills and Counterfeit Operations, Part 1" [see EJ1225180] provided background into the centuries-old fraud of selling diplomas and transcripts from fake schools and counterfeit documents in the name of legitimate schools. The second article provided a detailed look into the operations of the world's largest diploma mill, Axact, Ltd., which is still operating today. This final article identifies ways to recognize fake schools quickly and provides tools for detecting them. [For the second article, "Academic Fraud and the World's Largest Diploma Mill," see EJ1236169.]
