Dawson, Peg
Communique, v48 n3 p1, 23-25 Nov 2019
This article reviews the relationship between executive skills and academic performance as well as concerns about the current status of the field with respect to executive skills and future considerations. It summarizes what the author sees as the most positive aspects of the current state of understanding with respect to executive skills and their relationship to school performance. The author then talks about her concerns about the current status of the field, and finally, ends with the trends for the future that she would like to see as a refining of the understanding of executive skills and the techniques for identifying and treating executive skill challenges.
