Influence Application of Learning Model on Vocational Education Based on Quality Issurance
Suartini, Tuti
SAGE Open, v9 n2 Apr 2019
The development of vocational high school teaching and learning in Indonesia becomes very important when the country is faced with the demands for quality workers that will be necessary to face the free trade era of the 2015 ASEAN Economic Community (AEC). To anticipate this, solutions in terms of instructional strategies should be prepared, especially in relation to technology development. Field inquiry through System Influence Diagrams (SIDs) on the success of instructional implementation in laboratory shows that laboratory instruction development is necessary. With the current 10 stages of instruction for the students enrolled in technology and engineering program, especially for the field of expertise of Audio-Video Techniques, the learning outcomes are not satisfactory. This is based on an experiment of optimizing the theoretical and practical instruction in the laboratory of SMK (Vocational High School). After the implementation of SIDs, the school is finally able to meet the school competency and professional competency standards, although problems are still found in the provision of materials and equipment. The success is due to the ability of teachers in developing laboratory instruction that is suited to the ability of the laboratory in the school.
