Vlad Petre Glaveanu is Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Psychology and Professional Counseling at Webster University Geneva, Switzerland; Director of the Webster Center for Creativity and Innovation (WCCI); and Associate Professor II at the University of Bergen, Norway. He received his PhD in social psychology from the London School of Economics and Political Science, United Kingdom. His research focuses on creativity, imagination, collaboration, and culture. In this conversation with Suzanna Henson, they discuss topics such as what led Glaveanu to the field of psychology and then to the study of creativity; what immersion in various national contexts contributed to his knowledge of psychology, or creativity, or giftedness; some of the most important lessons learned from a mentor; which individuals both in and outside the field of psychology have exerted the strongest impact on his thinking; what concepts have held his interest over the years, and how they have evolved; and a discussion of his current research.
