This study is an assessment of the level of hope and happiness among the children of veterans and non-veterans in the Mazandaran province of Iran. This research includes a collection of descriptive data that compares the hope and happiness of the children of veterans and non-veterans. The statistical sample consists of 1093 male and female students in their last year of high school. Research instruments included Snyder's (1989) Hope Questionnaire and the Happiness Questionnaire created by Lyubomirsky and Lepper (1999). The data provide sufficient evidence to suggest that there are no significant differences between the scores of children of veterans and those of non-veterans on both the Hope and Happiness scales.
