James J. Cochran is Professor of Applied Statistics, Rogers-Spivey Faculty Fellow, and Associate Dean for Research in the Culverhouse College of Commerce at the University of Alabama. He is a Fellow of the American Statistical Association and of Institute for Operations Research and Management Sciences. He is also a recipient of the INFORMS Prize for the Teaching of the OR/MS Practice, ASA's Waller Distinguished Teaching career Award, Karl E. Peace Award for Outstanding Statistical Contributions for the Betterment of Society, and the ASA Founders Award. This interview took place via email on August 28, 2017-June 7, 2018.
