In order to satisfy world industry's need for communication on environmental matters, the International Center for Industry and Environment (ICIE) was formed. The ICIE will act as a clearinghouse for industry's views and actions, communicate these views to the United Nations Environment Program (UNEP), help formulate programs, and keep the business community informed on international development.
