Seeking New Submissions for the Student Connections Column
Klotz, Mary Beth; Frank, Michael; McLendon, Katherine E.
Communique, v46 n3 p35 Nov 2017
Student Connections is a long-running monthly column in Communiqué that provides a platform for students to share perspectives and experiences from their graduate school training. Many of the columns have had a broader application and are of interest to both seasoned practitioners and graduate educators. Articles for Student Connections are written primarily by graduate students; however, faculty members, field supervisors, and recent graduates are welcome and encouraged to coauthor articles. The Student Connections column provides a great opportunity for graduate students to gain their first experience with the publication process, particularly because authors receive several rounds of constructive feedback and support from editors as the authors develop ideas and refine their draft manuscripts. A wide range of topics have been reported on for Student Connections, and ideas for new topics are welcome. This article details the process used in submitting articles for publication in "Communique".
