In a test of the hypothesis that the acknowledged discrepancy between girls' and boys' general occupational preference patterns is observable also in their preference patterns within a limited, relatively homogeneous occupational field, 224 suburban eleventh-grade girls and boys ranked their preferences for 10 occupations. Results supported the hypothesis. (Author)
