The focus on multiple disciplines coming together to provide services, create products, and solve problems is growing worldwide. Higher education is no exception. This case study illustrates how academic disciplines can transition from a silo mentality to working collaboratively across disciplinary lines. A multiprofessional group of faculty members reflected on their journey after designing and developing an interprofessional education curriculum. Thematic analysis of their reflections revealed a model that depicted their evolution from a multiprofessional group into an interprofessional team. Based on this framework, questions are presented to guide multidisciplinary groups that wish to embark on a similar journey.
