To illustrate potential utility of causal modeling for rehabilitation theory, research, program evaluation, and policy making, a causal model of determinants of rehabilitation rate attained in state/federal rehabilitation program was constructed from correlational data previously published in RCB. The proposed model was found to have adequate external and internal validity. (Author)
