A Comparison of Anglo- And Mexican-American College Students on Locus of Control
Garza, Raymond T.; Ames, Russell E., Jr.
Journal of Consulting and Clinical Psychology, 42, 6, 919, Dec 74
Using Rotter's (1966) I-E scale, data were gathered on 204 college students. The findings not only contradict the sterotype that Mexican-Americans are fatalistic and controlled by external forces but they seem to suggest that their culture actually contributes to a greater perception of internal control.
