Undergraduate Library Collection Use and Diversity: Testing for Racial and Gender Differences
Herrera, Gail
portal: Libraries and the Academy, v16 n4 p763-744 Oct 2016
This study examined gender and racial differences among undergraduate library collection users at the University of Mississippi. Checkout and electronic resource use data were compiled for the calendar year 2014. These data were used along with statistical testing to distinguish between groups and determine how well the library collection was serving both historically underserved and nonminority populations. The results indicate that minority groups are served as well as, if not better than, the control groups.
