Active Ingredients for an Embedded Intervention within the Early Childhood Classroom
Blackwell, Angela Labrie; Dunn, Winnie
Journal of Occupational Therapy, Schools & Early Intervention, v9 n2 p125-141 2016
As public education moves toward a tiered model of intervention (Response to Intervention), occupational therapists need to understand how to effectively implement interventions at each tier. The purpose of this article is to report about a process of examining teacher-therapist meeting transcripts from a feasibility study to find the active ingredients necessary to create an embedded intervention in an early childhood education setting. An embedded intervention represents a Tier 1 approach.
