This article addresses the policy questions raised in the Doe case by examining the legal issues posed by the plaintiff's complaint and by the defendant's demurrer (a motion to dismiss, asserting that even if all the facts presented by Doe's complaint are true, they do not constitute sufficient grounds for the court to rule in favor of the plaintiff).
