Male and female college students and their parents responded to items dealing with social issues. Parents were more conservative on 21 of the 24 items. Sex differences were significant for seven items. The generation gap was greatest for items closest to the daily lives of the respondents and may be both an expression of and a contributor to social change. (Author)
