Letting Go of Stand-Alone Technology: How to Blend Technology into Literacy Stations
Calvert, Heather
Reading Teacher, v69 n2 p147-155 Sep-Oct 2015
With the nationwide focus on increasing students understanding and use of technology, many teachers are beginning to incorporate a variety of technology into small group rotations. However, the use of technology during these rotations often does not require students to use higher level thinking or problem solving skills. By eliminating the "technology station" and instead providing students the chance to use technology to complete learning tasks at every work station, teachers can prepare students to be 21st century learners.
