Williams, Vicki; Su, Nai-Fen
International Journal on E-Learning, v14 n3 p373-383 Jul 2015

Higher education institutions are constantly researching new forms of educational delivery, but academe in general has had some difficulty understanding the potential of MOOCs. To date, serious research on the impact of MOOCs on learning is fairly scarce. The authors examine the present state of MOOC research and speculate on why it is so.
