Social and Cultural Factors That Effect University Women Managers

In this study, social and cultural effects of the low rate of woman managers at universities are tried to be identified. Women have been increasingly appearing in every field of business; on the other hand, although women compared to men constitute majority in educational organisations, they appear in the positions other than management. We will try to work out the social role of women and how they are affected by the social change, how gender discrimination in management and academy hinder promotions of women and why women do not prefer working in top positions.
