Technicians need to be prepared for photo instrumentation who can maintain the critical tolerances required of both electronic and photographic instruments. The practitioner must also possess a solid background in quality control and densitometry, and a knowledge of optics, photographic chemistry, and the physics of the photographic process. (Author)
