Seven Steps to Flipped Professional Development

Professional development generally follows a pattern of presentation and review, but flipping the sessions has garnered a positive response from staff members and prompted greater collaboration and engagement. In this article the author describes the seven following steps to follow in order to prepare for a successful staff development meeting: (1) Planning and preparation; (2) Creating the agenda with the goal of modeling; (3) The digital tools; (4) Content; (5) Monitor and adjust; (6) Quick exit survey; and (7) Follow-up.
