One of the key literacy skills for a student to possess is the ability to comprehend text, especially in a content-driven course. All teachers can help students learn how to put meaning to text by developing a toolbox of strategies they can use to comprehend difficult material. This article discusses tips for teachers in teaching, monitoring, and assessing comprehension.
