The BOK (Body of Knowledge) is APPA's "Facilities Management" online manual. It makes information readily available, anytime and anywhere, to not only its members at all its institutions, but to anyone. Web media allows the BOK to be updated as needed, and includes links to additional resources. Because the BOK is an important part of APPA's knowledge base, efforts are made to update every chapter by asking authors to review their chapters and to inform their section editors on whether their chapters need minor or major revisions. The author of this article describes how he, as a section editor/content coordinator, reviewed the chapters in the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) section. He tells of how a chapter on interior design benefited him in a discussion with a designer by providing a practical example of "just-in-time" learning. Finally, he informs APPA members on how they may offer suggestions for additions to the chapters.
