Correlation Between Frequent Testing and Student Performance
Martin, Ronald R.; Srikameswaran, Kam
Journal of Chemical Education, 51, 7, 485-486, Jul 74
An experiment based on the premise that frequent testing should motivate students to repetitive and intensive study habits and, consequently, to perform better, is reported. Two groups of first-year chemistry students participated; results showed the group having frequent tests throughout the course performed significantly higher on the final examination. (DT)
