Evaluation of Distance Education Components of e-MBA Program--A Case Study

By 2008-2009 educational year, distance education e-MBA Program have been added to Graduate School of Social Sciences of Istanbul Aydin University. The distance education components that were used included asynchronous education, synchronous education, exams, the learning management system-web site and a remote live-support desk. At the end of the first academic year of operation, we conducted a survey to measure and analyze the effectiveness of components and the relations between age and attitudes of distance education components. Analyses of the survey showed that even though it was the first time such a program had been implemented, the total effectiveness of the distance education components were considered to be above average.
