Perspectives--Talking with Practitioners: How to Integrate Best Practices with Evidence-Based Treatment
Cohen, Richard
Zero to Three (J), v32 n4 p36-41 Mar 2012
Evidence-based treatments are increasingly important and necessary parts of many disciplines when working with very young children and their families. In using them, it is advantageous to be grounded in the principles and practices that research has shown are critical to children's healthy development, particularly the importance of supporting the relationship between parent and child. In this article, three practitioners playing very different roles describe how staying grounded in these principles enhanced their implementation of evidence-based interventions.
