Using Dynamic Geometry Software in Mathematics Teaching
Jones, Keith
Mathematics Teaching, n229 p49-50 Jul 2012
When it comes to using software to enhance the learning and teaching of mathematics it is all too easy to "talk the talk", but "walking the walk" is something else. There are many pertinent problems associated with accessibility, robust systems, curriculum time, classroom management, software familiarity and intuitive usage to name but a few. However the issue of how learners interact with software, and learn to use the tools provided continues to be the focus of research. This bibliography provides insights into current research that can help users to develop a sound perspective on what is being done, and what might be achieved. For those members who can put their hand on it, this article updates a previous version first published in "Micromath 2002".
