Finding Funding for Science and Engineering Projects
Helme, Anne
Primary Science, n124 p19-22 Sep 2012
With many funding schemes around, a teacher needs to choose the one that suits the type of project he/she wants to do. Look carefully at the eligibility and judging criteria as this is what the applications will be assessed on. All the schemes mentioned here are open to primary schools, but some may need to involve other people as well. Some schemes will fund projects on any science and engineering topic; others are specific for certain subjects such as physics or biochemistry. In this article, the author dispels some of the myths and provides information on where and how to get funding, including an interview from a judge's perspective about the applications.
