"I Know Your Father Very, Very Well"
Talbott, Brian L., II
School Administrator, v69 n10 p40-41 Nov 2012
Many a young boy wishes to grow up to be like his father someday. The author's father, Brian L. Talbott, was named superintendent of Educational Service District 105 in Yakima, Washington, the same year he entered 1st grade. He continued in this position through his elementary years. His stomping grounds changed during the summer between 6th and 7th grade when they moved to Spokane, Washington, where his dad became the superintendent of ESD 101, where he remained until retiring from the state, 10 years after the author had graduated from high school. In this article, the author shares his experience being a school-age child of a superintendent.
